Why is gold quoted in dollars when I fund in cedis?

XAU/USD is priced in US dollars per ounce, so your broker converts your cedi funding through MTN Mobile Money into dollars before the trade. That means your result has two parts: the gold move and the cedi-dollar rate at the time you convert.

What does one lot of gold mean in ounces?

One standard lot of XAU/USD is 100 ounces. A 0.10-lot position is therefore 10 ounces, and one pip, which is 0.01 on the price, moves the position by a fixed dollar amount that the pip value calculator shows you for your size.

Is the reference price of about 4275.0 a live quote?
